Book Trailers!

Here are my attempts at a couple of book trailers for Applies to Oranges. The movie-making program that came with my computer has some rather goofy limitations, particularly with respect to the size of the picture itself, once you add music and narratives. I've tried to work around this a bit by publishing the movies in HD, so that if you look at them full-screen in high resolution, you get a nice-sized picture.

Here's the first video -- a short 30-second spot aimed at giving interested persons a bit of atmosphere:

And here's a longer (1-minute) video, in which I read one of the poems from the book.

Sound quality is a bit uneven -- the music is great, but I recorded the narrative using the on-board microphone that comes with my computer, which generates a bit of static. However, I think both videos are pretty successful for having been made by someone with zero experience. I also think that they faithfully recreate the feel of the book. So huzzah to that!

Let me know what you think, and if you have any suggestions for making Windows Movie Maker Live behave better, I'd love to hear them.
