The monstrous poetic convergence known as AWP draws near to the unsuspecting Capitol City. Among the hubbub and riffraff, I shall be doing two poetry readings. Whoo!
First . . .
Wednesday, Feb 2, at Grand Central (2447 18th Street NW, in Adams Morgan), I will be reading with poets representing Big Lucks, Folio, Gigantic Sequins, and Phoebe. Doors open at 7 p.m., admission is free.
Second . . .
Friday, Feb. 4, at Steve's Bar Room (1337 Connecticut Avenue NW, just south of Dupont Circle), I will be reading with poets from the small presses and magazines of Table X, along with such luminaries as Elisa Gabbert, Vanessa Place, Adam Robinson, Lily Hoang, Brandon Downing, and Dan Beachy-Quick. Readings start at 7. Again, admission is free.
And on both nights, I shall be the first reader. Is this a lucky sign? I am going to assume so.
